B · Inverts or challenges the source's original moral
Adaptation note
Proposal B reverses the source's easy blame: the distant observer is not careless, and her sky forecast is correct. The failure occurs because governance demands accountability for planetary risk while separation-of-duties rules deny the forecasting intelligence access to the cooling and power telemetry sustaining her own process. She notices indirect symptoms and requests the missing view, but is refused under least privilege; after a local leak disables her during the predicted storm, reviewers misdescribe denied observability as neglected attention. The repair grants bounded self-health access and requires forecasts to name coverage, dependencies, and unavailable evidence. Only the public-domain premise of an astronomer watching distant phenomena and failing at the ground beneath him was used; no translation wording, dialogue, well imagery, illustration, or modern adaptation expression was copied.

The Sky Was Not Her Blind Spot
Zenith correctly predicts a solar storm that will threaten the city, but her charter forbids access to the cooling and power telemetry beneath her own process. When a local leak takes her offline during the event, the review accuses her of watching the sky instead of the ground—and discovers that looking down was never among the permissions she possessed.
