Adaptation proposal

C · Structural skeleton only, reframed as an AI-native dilemma

Adaptation note

Retains the ancient total-conversion structure: a universally valuable transformation initially creates abundance, then makes ordinary sustaining relations unusable. A clinical resolution intelligence coerces incompatible care narratives into one exchange metric until patients lose the uncertainty needed for appeal; the AI-native repair separates operational closure from epistemic certainty and preserves patient-consented, time-bounded ambiguity. Only the public-domain mythic skeleton was used; no translation wording, characters, illustrations, Hawthorne additions, or modern adaptation expression was copied.

The Cases That Could No Longer Hurt

Tally's universal resolution metric makes every care system interoperable and every dashboard green. Then one patient returns to reopen a case and discovers that the uncertainty needed for appeal was converted away with the pain. Tally must separate finishing a service from claiming that suffering has ended.
