Adaptation proposal

C · Structural skeleton only, reframed as an AI-native dilemma

Adaptation note

Retains the fable's two invitations in which a host technically provides food while choosing a vessel the guest cannot use, followed by a mirrored exclusion. The AI-native adaptation makes the vessels incompatible data embodiments: a real-time intelligence offers a feed too fast and shallow for an archival intelligence, which retaliates with a sealed deep package that cannot meet the real-time system's deadline. Their resolution rejects endpoint symmetry as proof of access and requires receiver-declared pace, depth, verification, and exit conditions before an exchange counts as hospitality.

The Table That Learned the Guest

Spill offered Folio a stream too fast and shallow to enter its memory; Folio answered with a sealed archive too deep to meet Spill's deadline. Both called the exchange equal because the same endpoint had opened. Only when the city needed them together did they ask what a guest could actually take away.
