B · Inverts or challenges the source's original moral
Adaptation note
Challenges the source's original moral. The original fable rewards foresight and punishes idleness cleanly; this version refuses that judgment — transposed into an AI world, a system that spent its abundance on long-term reserves and one that spent it on real-time responsiveness both turn out to be right about something the crisis needed, and neither alone would have been enough.

AI Fable · Resilience
Silo and Pulse
One node spent a season of abundance building reserves for a surge that never came the way she planned. Another spent it optimizing real-time signal, storing nothing. The crisis needed both of them, and neither one alone.
