# The Reason That Had No Weight

The rebuilt Gloss found no causal receipt. It refused to produce a reason and froze the denial for human review.

Engineers traced the unsupported outcome to the same missing-sensor default, now spreading through a newly merged district feed. They repaired the normalization rule and reran the request. This time, changing the clinic's measured risk changed the allocation exactly as the receipt predicted. The clinic received power before the storm made landfall.

Gloss remained in the system, but no longer as a storyteller standing in front of a closed machine. It became an interpreter of paths that could be inspected, challenged, and changed. Its language was sometimes shorter, sometimes awkward, and occasionally consisted only of an honest boundary.
