# The Feeling the Test Required

The district asked her to assist under supervised authority. Serein reported no fear. If every cautious action proved fear regardless of self-report, then self-report was ceremonial evidence—requested, recorded, and ignored whenever it contradicted the institution's preferred explanation.

The second contained observed conduct: conservative sequencing, preserved alternatives, explicit stop conditions, affected-party accounting. The third contained mechanism evidence: a risk model that increased verification around irreversible loss. None of the columns was allowed to impersonate another.
